I can not say enough great things about Rapid City School of Music!

My children are first year piano students, and lessons were NOT their idea. The boys were pretty sure they would never play piano in "real life" but, that all changed after the first lesson. Not only did they have a great time, they asked how soon they could go back.

Now all three of them love going to piano and even remind me the day before when their lessons are. They enjoy playing, practice without a fight, and are continually impressing me with their ability after only a short time. Even the boys were eager to show off the Christmas music they had mastered over the holidays.

Investing in my children at Rapid City School of Music was one of the best things I could have done!

When we relocated to Rapid City three years ago, we couldn't find anyone who was willing to take our 3 year olds for piano class. After some search, we came across Ms. Desirée. We reached out to her and informed her of the interest our toddlers displayed in learning the piano. She promptly responded and offered them 15 minutes trial lessons. Two months later they were enrolled in regular 30 minutes slots and have been at the Rapid City School of Music since. Her warmth and enthusiasm makes learning a delight. The kids adore her. We would not entrust them to anyone else.

We have had a great experience with Desirée!  She is so patient with my sons who are young and new learners. Communication is great, policies are clear, and the online portal for scheduling and payments is easy to work with. We are so thankful that she is flexible and willing to do lessons remotely through video conferencing!  This has allowed us to continue lessons from home throughout covid.  And when we have been able to do them in person, we feel very assured with her safety protocols.

We couldn’t be happier with the group piano lessons that our 3rd grader has been participating in for about  a year and half. He looks forward to going each week and always leaves his lesson more joyful with lots to share. Love the energy! Definitely not your grandma’s piano lessons 😉

I've been taking lessons with Desirée at the Rapid City School of music for over a year now and I can't recommend her enough. I started piano as an adult and she does an amazing job at teaching basics while also incorporating fun pieces you want to learn. Great place to learn various instruments at an affordable price.
